What would you highlight about BED Hostel Phuket
I got every kind of emotion in this last shelter of Phuket in CoVid19 situation.
No stairs! At all! Every room are on d ground.. For d dorm, all consist of 4 beds (2 bunk beds), each room with the toilet attached.. And thanks for the arrangement, they managed to fill each guest in one room, though we were having the dormitory. So felt like I rent a private room.. Thank u.. That's a very thoughtful gesture.. The room was cleaned. The internet WiFi was OK. But my room is just beside the front office. The other guy who stated further in the edge, said that he can't get any connection from there. The staffs was generally helpful. The kitchenette was OK.. No stove (gas nor electric) to real cook though, but still OK to survive.. And there is a tea stall in front of the hostel, Nui's tea stall. And he is the comfort of my frustrated situation trapped in that city..
I stayed there for 12 nights in total: 27 March to 8 April 2020. This is the beginning stage during the chaotic situation due of CoVid19 2020 in Phuket specifically. They have 2 front staffs in charge in turn and 1 cleaning lady. The staff who accepted me was fine at first. I understand that he was struggling to communicate with me in English.. But in d last days of my staying, I considered him became rude. Without trying to speak with me in English, he kind of rudely showed me in d screen of his computer, saying that everyone (including the foreign guest) has to wear a face mask due to CoVid19 (by d military forced). And he showed me the screen as "forcing me" kind of attitude. And that's a bit rude for me.. I am not a hard head kind of guest. I didn't wear d mask because I am inside the room, and I cannot breath freely in d mask. But if there is already any law saying that, of course I will wear it. No need to be rude, just give a simple explanation, then it will be settled.. The other front staff, the girl is nicer than the guy. She also had the same difficulties in communicating in English. AT LEAST she tried though. And that's a very nice and kind attitude of hospitality. After all, I am not local, and of course as a social creature I would need someone to communicate with in this unpredictable situation..
